Portfolio Intelligence within the Betterview platform gives insurance carriers a single view of risk exposure, agency performance, and portfolio health. Version 2 rebuilds the interface and re-engineers the system to accommodate the way carriers work through a book of business - start wide, filter to the segment that matters, then drill into the individual property.
Portfolio Intelligence v1 will remain available until you transition to v2.
Overview
Carriers typically rely on physical inspection reports, hazard models, and historical analysis to assess individual properties. Repeating that work across an entire book is slow. Portfolio Intelligence aggregates property insights and risk scores from the Betterview platform, so you can run the same analysis remotely across every property you insure.

What you get in v2
- Property list with regional breakdown - See your full property list alongside rollups by region, and move between individual and area-level views in one place. Sort and filter to get to the properties you care about.
- Regional map view - Drill from state to county to ZIP code. Average scores and other insights update at each level, so you get a granular, visual read on the book.
- Unified left panel across zoom levels - The panel behaves the same way whether you are viewing a state, a county, or a ZIP code. Same controls at every level, so navigation stays predictable.
- Multiple map insights - Switch the map between area average scores and portfolio concentration.
- Flexible filtering - Narrow the portfolio by agent, renewal date, underwriter, line of business, flags, location, Total Insured Value (TIV), or land use. Underwriting, actuarial, and distribution teams can each slice the book by the data relevant to them.
- Insight graphs - See the distribution of flags, plus rankings of the worst-performing states, counties, ZIP codes, agents, or land use categories, ranked by lowest average Roof Spotlight Index (RSI). The worst risk concentrations surface first, without manual digging.
- Enhanced insights - Most common land use and Total Insured Value (TIV) are now included in the insight set.
- Benchmarking - Compare your portfolio performance against wider market data to see where your book sits with the Portfolio Benchmarking add on product.
Accessing Portfolio Intelligence v2
- Log in to your Betterview workspace.
- Select Portfolio Intelligence from the menu on the left.
The Map view is displayed.
From there, analyze your portfolio at county, state, and ZIP (ZCTA) and Agent levels. You can export data from any view, and update a property profile to adjust the premium amount, assigned agent, and other related parameters.
