Overview
The Nearmap ImpactResponse System (referred to as the ImpactResponse System hereafter) provides insights about catastrophic events to help claims teams, desk adjusters and initial disaster response teams to assess damage and estimate potential portfolio profitability.
The ImpactResponse System allows you to view information that is captured:
- Prior to the catastrophic event: Referred to as pre-event imagery, this displays the geospatial boundaries of the event before the event for hurricanes and as the event happens for wildfires and tornadoes. LEARN MORE
- During the event: Filter properties by extent of vulnerability and/or damage, and by replacement cost for assessment. LEARN MORE
- After the event: Once Nearmap imagery is available, visually compare the pre-event and post-event imagery to verify the extent of the damage and arrive at estimated replacement costs. LEARN MORE
Damage classification
The ImpactResponse System uses Nearmap Damage Classifications AI to provide insights AI-driven insights into the damage caused by a catastrophic event. The analysis comprises a selection of AI data which can assist in a quick triage and assessment of damages to impacted properties caused by a catastrophic event to plan the appropriate response.
The ImpactResponse System displays the extent of damage classified as one of the following:
- No Damage
- Affected
- Minor
- Major
- Destroyed
- Unconfirmed - A damage state has been determined, but needs to be manually confirmed once you go through the imagery.
- Unknown - The extent of damage cannot be determined based on the imagery currently available.
