Roof Condition Confidence Stats - Overview
Nearmap AI captures several roof condition attributes including ponding, rusting, tile/shingle staining, structural damage, roofs with temporary or permanent repairs, and zinc staining. These attributes are now associated with a confidence score reflecting the certainty in detecting conditions. This score is called the Roof Condition Confidence Statistic (referred to as RCCS), which can be included via the AI Feature API. Fine-grain scores represent the spectrum of confidence levels. This provides clear insights into detection accuracy and supports better decision-making.
RCCS quick info
How do I get the RCCS?
Nearmap AI roof condition attributes such as ponding, rusting, and tile/shingle staining can be augmented with confidence statistics (RCCS) to provide a comprehensive view of the confidence levels behind detecting the feature. To do so, include the following parameter in your AI Feature API request:
include=roofConditionConfidenceStats&systemVersionPrefix=gen6
As a default, this parameter is omitted from requests; you must include if you want the RCCS returned.
For information about the calculated score output, see the article RCCS Output.
