Overview
The Exports tool in MapBrowser allows you to export 2D and 3D imagery in different formats including post-catastrophe imagery. You can easily access and export small or large areas using MapBrowser without any assistance from Nearmap Support or your account manager. You can also export 2D tiled imagery from post-catastrophe surveys if you have a subscription for Nearmap ImpactResponse.
Download the exported files any number of times via the Downloads panel without reducing the data allowance.
2D Export
You can export and download most Nearmap 2D products as:
- Basic - a single JPEG image, or
- Advanced - a tiled image in different formats such as GeoTIFF/JPEG/JPEG2000, ECW or MrSID.
Exporting a high resolution image is very useful when you need a high quality image. For a Basic or Advanced 2D export, you must have a subscription with 2D export permissions with available export credits. Export allowance is counted at the time of the export.
3D Export
Using MapBrowser you can export and download Nearmap 3D Products and then use the content in third-party applications. To export 3D content, you must have a subscription with 3D export permissions with available export credits. Export allowance is counted at the time of the export.
Export imagery types
The Exports tool allows you to export small and large areas of interest (AOI). The size and time taken for the export depends on the AOI and the export type and format you select.
You can export imagery in the following formats:
Export Type | Content Type | Content Types -> Imagery | Description |
---|
Basic | 2D single Image | | A single image file in JPEG format with the option to download the corresponding georeferenced file. Exported 2D images can be printed, while a georeferenced file allows you to use the imagery in third-party applications, such as ArcGIS or Autodesk. |
Advanced | 2D Tiled | GeoTIFF, JPEG and JPEG2000 | A tiled image in different formats. Exported tiled images can be used to integrate Nearmap imagery into different applications or workflows according to your specific needs. |
| MrSID | A Multi-resolution Seamless Image Database; this is a file format with the extension .sid and was developed by LizardTech. |
| 3D | Textured Mesh, Point Cloud, DSM, True Ortho and DEM | Nearmap 3D can be exported in a variety of formats as listed here. Different formats and applications may display the extracted 3D in slightly different ways, which may make the content appear to be different. |
