If you have an ArcGIS Online account, you can request access to Nearmap imagery via our ArcGIS Online Marketplace item.
Once enabled, you can access Nearmap imagery in ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS for Desktop. Click here for information about adding Nearmap imagery from your ArcGIS online account to ArcGIS for Desktop.

Minimum System Requirements
- You need an Organizational ArcGIS Online account to access our imagery through the ArcGIS Online marketplace.
You need ArcGIS for Desktop 10.2 or later to view the Nearmap marketplace item in your ArcGIS for Desktop projects.
You need ArcGIS for Desktop 10.3 or later if you'd like to use our timeline add-in to view imagery from previous survey dates.
Basic Provisioning Flow
This is the basic provisioning flow for the Nearmap ArcGIS Online Marketplace item:
Your ArcGIS Online account administrator requests access to the Nearmap ArcGIS Online Marketplace item.
Once provisioned, your ArcGIS Online account administrator shares the item to a group within your ArcGIS account.
Once the item has been shared, end users view the Nearmap item in ArcGIS Online, or add the item to their ArcGIS for Desktop projects.
Requesting Access to the Nearmap ArcGIS Online Marketplace Item
NOTE: You must be an administrator of your ArcGIS Online account to perform this step.
- Go to https://marketplace.arcgis.com/signin.html
- Sign in with your ArcGIS Online organization account details:
- At the Search for apps and data search box, type "Nearmap":
- From the search results, click one of Nearmap US Vertical Imagery for United States imagery, Nearmap AU Vertical Imagery for Australian imagery, or Nearmap NZ Vertical Imagery for New Zealand imagery:
- Click Buy:
NOTE: clicking buy does not charge you anything. - Complete your details, review the license agreement, and when you're ready, click Submit:
- A confirmation message appears. Click the link to return to your console:
The status of your request will be visible in your My Requested Items list.
You will receive confirmation when your ArcGIS Online organization account has been provisioned with access to the Nearmap imagery. The Nearmap item will then be available in your list of Purchased Items, accessible from the My Console screen in your Esri ArcGIS Marketplace account.
Sharing the Nearmap ArcGIS Online Item Within a Group
NOTE: You must be an administrator of your ArcGIS Online account to perform this step.
In order for users to retrieve Nearmap imagery (including a free trial) that has been provisioned to your ArcGIS Online account, an administrator of the ArcGIS Online account must share the item with groups they own.
For information on creating a group, please see the ArcGIS Online documentation.
- From your ArcGIS Marketplace Console (https://marketplace.arcgis.com/console.html), select My Apps & Data.
- From the Nearmap listing, click View Item.
- You will be prompted with a dialog box asking that you share this item within a group. Check the group you want to share with, and click OK.
- You should then be directed to the Nearmap item page. Click the Open in Map Viewer and confirm that Nearmap imagery is loaded correctly.
