Roof Assessment enables you to generate a PDF report for individual buildings within a site. The report includes all relevant details and detections for the selected building, providing an offline version of the Roof Assessment data that can be easily shared with your team and wider organization.
Generating the building report
- In the List view, click to select the site you want to view.
- Select the required survey from the left panel. If you need oblique images in your report, ensure that the selected survey has oblique images. If oblique imagery is unavailable in the selected survey, the report will display only vertical imagery.
- On the Buildings tab, select the building for which you want to generate the report.
- Click Report to generate and export the Building Condition report.
You'll see a message indicating that the export has commenced.
- Once the export is ready, you'll receive an email confirmation with an option to download the report. You'll also receive a notification within Roof Assessment, and the report will be downloaded automatically.
- You can also click the Download PDF button in the email. The report will be downloaded to the default Downloads folder on your computer.
If you’re using Firefox, the PDF opens in a new tab and in your default PDF viewer once the report is ready for download.
If you’re using Safari on a Mac, you’ll be prompted to allow the download. Once you confirm, the download will commence.
File naming convention
The report file name follows this naming convention: <site name>/<site address>_<building_number>_<survey date>.pdf. For example, Epping_Rd_Double_Bay_NSW_2028_Australia-Building_2-150326.pdf.
Report contents
Navigate to the folder in which the report is located, and double-click to open the report. The report will open in a browser window or in an app that allows you to view PDF, such as Adobe Acrobat.
The Building Condition report consists of the following sections.
Section | Contents |
|---|
Building summary | Provides a summary of all the detections found across the building including: - Detections
- Total area of the detection
- Percent of roofs (affected)
- Confidence score
- Roofs affected (number of)
This section also provides a summary of the roof condition for each roof detected across the building including: - Roof reference
- RSI
- Detections

Building images | This section displays the oblique imagery for the building, if available. This is followed by the vertical imagery for the selected survey. Historical images are displayed for the four most recent surveys, each 30 days apart, relative to the selected survey. If a user exports from an older survey, that survey becomes the reference point, and the app retrieves three surveys after that point.
If oblique imagery is not available in the selected survey, the report will display a blank page. Select a survey that has oblique imagery and then generate the report again. |
Roofs | For each roof detected at the building, the following details is provided : - RSI
- Confidence
- Roof footprint
- Condition detections
- Object detections
- Other detections
