Multi Resolution Seamless Image Database (MrSID) is a proprietary data format, developed and marketed by LizardTec, for raster images that allows image files to be substantially compressed with little to no loss of image quality. Nearmap currently uses partners to deliver the imagery in the MrSID format. If you have questions on when you will receive this data, reach out to your sales representative who is facilitating that delivery.
- Default tile size is 1 mile x 1 mile
- Default compression for GeoTIFF is JPEG_YCbCr
- MrSID can be exported as Gen3 or Gen4
