When you first sign into the Property Insights Portal, the following page is displayed.
To look up a single address, simply enter the address in the Search bar. Details of the property will be displayed.
You can add the property you have searched for so that you can access it later. To do this, type the address of the property you want to view, and then click Add to address list button in the toolbar as shown below. The property will be added to the address list and can be directly accessed from there.
Uploading an address file
If you want to browse property insights for multiple addresses, upload a CSV file with the list of addresses.
NOTE: You can upload a maximum of 250 addresses via the CSV file. If you need to look up more addresses, delete the existing addresses in your CSV and add the set of new addresses.
Creating the CSV address file
To create the CSV address file:
- Click the CSV template link that's shown in the image above. A blank Microsoft Excel worksheet is displayed.
- Add an address to each row of the worksheet until you have added all the addresses.
NOTE: You can upload a maximum of 250 addresses via the CSV file. If you need to look up more addresses, delete the existing addresses in your CSV and add the set of new addresses. - In each row, add the following information:
- Address: The street number and street name separated by a space between the number and name. For example, 26109 Jones Road.
- City: The name of the city. For example, Tomball.
- State: The abbreviation for the state. For example, TX.
- Zip: The zip code for the address. For example, 77070.
- ID Number: This could be a policy ID or a claim number. This is optional and can be omitted if the data is not available.
NOTE: The format to input the address is shown in the far right of the file.
- Repeat step 3 for each address you want to add.
- Save the file with any name, but make sure that it's saved as a CSV (comma-separated values) file.
Uploading an address file
To upload an address file:
- Click the UPLOAD ADDRESS LIST button on the home page.
- Select the file you want to upload, and click Open. The selected file is uploaded, and the progress of upload is displayed.
- Once uploaded, you will see your address list on the left and location markers for each address on the map in the right side.
In this view, you can zoom in and zoom out, and rotate the map. Additionally, you can select the Road checkbox to view the roads overlaid on the map.
